On Saturday, September 17th, the annual Academy car wash fundraiser was held at the Frazier Park church and it was a huge success! With roughly 20 cars showing up in support of our event, students definitely had their work cut out for them between 10 o’clock and noon. Mrs. Chapman and Miss White supervised the event, and several students volunteered their time to help out with the dirty work. These students included: Rebecca Crowe, Olivia Carlson, Dallin Neeley, Dallas Matthew, Ryan Oman, Zoe Tiberi, Madalyn Hon, Alberto and Alejandro Esparza, Joy Gonzalez, Jorge Pasillas, Hope Shorrock and many other helping hands. I spoke to Hope and here’s what she had to say: “A lot of cars showed up. It was really busy and fast-paced during the whole time. All of us were constantly moving and having fun.”

Compared to last year’s total earnings, the Academy made significantly more money. Their goal was set at $700, and we succeeded that amount by a landslide. As an Academy, our ultimate goal is to raise as much money as possible in order to pay for the exciting events intended for the enjoyment of our Falcons. Any and all support given towards our fundraisers are greatly appreciated and certainly do not go unnoticed.
