The Academy students have just finished with their Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser, as the last dozen were given out on Monday the 19th. Fatima Echeverria, one of the Academy officers in charge of the fundraiser, said in an interview, “The overall goal was to raise money, and surpass our previous fundraisers. Our goal was to sell about 50 dozen, which definitely was more than what we sold last year. We had high expectations.” And that goal was far exceeded, with about $200 raised this fundraiser! All funds will go to the Com-Tec Academy, the senior field trip to Catalina, and to any other Academy needs according to Fatima. When asked about how she felt the fundraiser went, Fatima responded, “Overall the fundraiser went well! We achieved what we wanted to. We are really happy with the results!” So thank you to everyone who bought doughnuts this year, we greatly appreciate your support!
