This month the Falcon Beat has chosen the lovely Brianna Edwards as its featured Senior student of the month. Brianna is a very hard working student who strives to be the best she can be; she is an inspiration to all her friends.

Falcon Beat (FB): So Brianna, first off, congratulations on becoming Homecoming Queen, I couldn’t think of a better candidate than you. How have you liked being Homecoming Queen so far?

Brianna Edwards (BE): It has been an amazing experience. It was honestly something I would have never expected to win, and coming from a small school makes this honor even more personal and special!

FB: That’s fantastic! Can you tell us what your favorite hobby is?

BE: I really enjoy reading. There’s nothing like a hot cup of tea and a book to make me content. I also enjoy the outdoors; my favorite activities are hiking, backpacking, and camping with my family.

FB: What are your personal superstitions?

BE: This may sound weird, but when I’m playing a card game that involves picking cards I’ll put my hand over the cards and pick one because it feels “hot” or “cold,” and it’s actually helped me pick my card!

FB: That isn’t weird at all, I’m sure many people have the same method! What is a subject that you have excelled at throughout your school career?

BE: I do well in all my classes but my favorite subject would be English. I love being able to read novels, and I excel at the essays I write.

FB: What contributions would you like to make to the world?

BE: In all honesty I’m not expecting to do something great, but if I could help a group of people (or even just one or two people) live a happier life then I would be content.

FB: That’s so sweet of you. Which colleges are you looking at since you’re coming to the end of your high school career?

BE: I’m definitely applying to a University of California, I’m just not sure which one just yet.

FB: Who is someone that you look up to?

BE: My parents have always inspired me and helped shape me into who I am today. They have helped me to be strong willed and to have the ability to go into the world and make of it what I want.

FB: Is there something that you are either dreading or very excited for this year?

BE: I would have to say that I’m looking forward to every moment I can spend with friends and family while I’m still living on the hill. The thing I’m dreading the most is the long wait to graduation and the moment where I really take charge of my life and future.

We would really like to thank Brianna for taking the time to speak with us, we hope she has an amazing rest of her year and a smooth ride to graduation.
