This month’s alumni featured on The Falcon Beat is Taylor Mason! He graduated last school year in 2016 with many other ambitious students. Throughout his high school years, he was a charismatic and comedic student who was enjoyed by everyone! Journalism asked Taylor a few questions, and here are his answers.

Falcon Beat (FB): What did you pursue after high school?

Taylor Mason (TM): Employment. That was my main focus after high school.

FB: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

TM: I plan on working through schooling in college to become an airline pilot. That is something that I really look forward to doing and something I have aspired to do for a long time.

FB: What is your favorite high school memory?

TM: Everyday during lunch, me and my friends would eat outside and just have the time of our lives. The banter at lunch with my friends everyday was what made high school really enjoyable for me, and that is my favorite high school memory.

FB: What was your favorite thematic to do?

TM: The WW2 newspaper thematic was my favorite. It was different from every other thematic I had done, and it really let us bring out a new creative end for group projects.

FB: Who is someone you look up to?

TM: Winston Churchill.

FB: What advice do you have for 2017's graduating seniors?

TM: Honestly- don't get pregnant. Get a job and don't waste your money on frivolous things (no you don’t need that stupid lift kit for your stupid truck).

FB: And lastly, how has high school prepared you for real-world situations?

TM: I have learned that there are going to be awful people in your life, and you just have to shake them off and not let them bother you. You live and learn in high school, and this is the time when you prepare for the real world.

Thank you so much for your time Taylor. Frazier Mountain High School wishes you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors.
