December's Athlete of the Month: Bruno Perez!

Our December Athlete of the Month is Bruno Perez. He is a senior this year, and one of the star players on the Falcon’s boys basketball team. Bruno’s primary sport is basketball, and is known for carrying his basketball everyday of every season. His favorite game is not just a sport, it is a lifestyle.

Falcon Beat (FB): What do you find special about your favorite sport?

Bruno Perez (BP): There is a unique feeling that I get when I’m playing basketball. It’s the only time, other than when I’m sleeping, when I don’t have to worry about all the things in my life that are stressing me out.

FB: Do you plan on playing basketball in college?

BP: Of course!

FB: What is your biggest accomplishment in your sports?

BP: Playing every single game like it was my last. Never leaving anything to doubt.

FB: What would be your ultimate achievement?

BP: Winning league for the first time in school history for basketball. And maybe a league MVP if I’m lucky

FB: Where do you draw your inspiration from?

BP: I draw inspiration from my drive to prove everyone wrong. No one wants it more than I do.

FB: Do you have a saying or motto you live your life by?

BP: Wait for the day when the people who told you that you couldn’t do it ask you how you did.

FB: What advice could you offer to future FMHS basketball players?

BP: Don’t tell everyone how bad you want to win. Show them

FB: Is there anything you will miss about playing basketball at FMHS?

BP: I’ll miss my brothers and battling with them every game until the final horn.
