January's Freshmen Student of the Month: Yamilett Alvarez!

January’s Freshmen student of the month is Yamilett Alvarez! An exceptional student, Yamilett is enjoying her first year at FMHS. She says her first semester has been good. She thinks it is really different than El Tejon and much better. She says “There are more people and things to do.” Her favorite thing so far about the high school has been her new teachers. Next year she wants to join ASB and get more involved in school activities. When asked about her current hobbies, she said, “Softball is my main sport.” She has been playing for six years and plans to try out for the team this spring. Besides softball, Yamilett is very into social media. She wants to make a career out of it, and is currently planning on going into marketing through social media.

And finally (getting really personal here) she admitted to us that she is a pen person, not a pencil person. Thank you for your time Yamilett! The Falcon Beat hopes you enjoy the rest of your time here at FMHS.
