Ms. Brown is the FMHS student counselor, and also teaches the Psychology, Sociology, Success 101, and Peer Helping classes here at the high school. She does so much to support us students; and to help us work through all of the struggles, stress, and worries of these high school years. So, the Falcon Beat has chosen her as the January Faculty of the Month. Here is what she had to say:
FB (the Falcon Beat): How long have you been working here?
SE (Suellen Brown): Eighteen years at FMHS. Thirteen years at El Tejon [Middle School].
FB: What is the best part of your job?
SE: Getting to know students. Helping them navigate through the teenage years.
FB: Where did you go to high school?
SE: Maricopa, CA. I graduated from El Tejon.
FB: What sports did you play?
SE: Tennis, basketball, and softball.
FB: What is your favorite sport?
SE: To play: softball. To coach: basketball.
FB: What is your favorite animal?
SE: Cats mostly.
FB: Thank you so much for your time Ms. Brown, and for all that you do to add to the community here at FMHS!
