I really hope you enjoyed your summer, had something to invest your time in, and left it with a feeling of satisfaction. Whether it be splashing around in salt water on the beach, or enjoying the vista from a long hike, or maybe traveling around the country, or even the world. Or maybe you decided to just sit back and pick up a book, only to be immersed in a visceral tale from a well known author. Whatever it may be, school has officially started so no more days of leisure, but instead replaced with mental fatigue for upperclassman, and surely pure anticipation for newcomers. It’s not all bad though, I’m sure there are plenty of people who are eager to meet up with close friends, or to catch up with students and see how they themselves are tackling life. Also given that we have a relatively small high school, we don’t see any exclusivity when it comes to grade differences; we all know each other in some shape or form. But before I continue, we should give a huge welcome to our new freshmen class! The freshmen are a group of bright new students, with only the future ahead of them. Trust me, it’s going to go by quickly, so make the most of it!
Let’s backtrack a little bit, and cover the various events that have happened during the summer.
While it's almost obligatory to expect new Transformer and Superhero films to tie in with summer stagnation, we actually received a fair amount of entertaining films. The first two that come to mind are Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver and Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk, not to mention the sleeper hit Atomic Blonde. Although, you’ll see enough of my thoughts on amateur movie reviews that I’ll provide, so don’t fret.
Expect a new rhythm for the school, as of recently, a whole lot of new people have been voted in as ASB members, all looking forward to delivering a proactive school year full of spirit! Whoo! A lot is in store for Frazier Mountain High School, including rallies and dances, and more we can’t yet publicly disclose.

Bored of the monotonous routine in school? Why not join a club or participate in extracurricular activities? There’s Chess Club to practice your strategic skills, Art Club to build on your creative skills, and Viva Club to educate yourself on the cultural background of Latin America. More traditional clubs such as FFA and Robotics are also available. This is only to name a few as there are a multitude of groups to invest your time in, preparing for colleges and improving your own skills outside of standardized education. Be sure to contact club members or supervisors if you wish to join any of those mentioned or other clubs!
Well, that about sums it up, you have a whole year of school to look forward to. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, succeeding individually and academically.
