August Junior of the Month: Christina Zorich!

August’s Junior of the month is none other than Christina Zorich! Christina is a quiet person, but don’t let that fool you. She is a bright and modest person who will almost never take too much credit for anything she and her friends/group does. Christina’s favorite subject is Spanish because, as she says, “ I enjoy Spanish because of how Sra. Hughes teaches it, she makes sure everyone understands it before moving on to the next thing.”

Christina's favorite hobby is soccer. When asked if she would play it recreationaly, she answered with “yeah.” When asked why she prefers soccer over other sports, she said “I really don’t know.” Christina is very dedicated when she plays soccer and shows her true colors when playing soccer.

When asked who her favorite teacher is, Christina said “ Mr. Domke, because he will slow down and explain something in a way we understand.” She really respects Mr. Domke and so do all of the Juniors. While Christina is mostly quiet and only really waits for the teachers to put her on the spot, when they do she proves that she is knowledgeable and well rounded, yet knows when she is lacking in knowledge in that said subject.

When asked who her biggest inspiration is, Christina answered with “My brother because he has accomplished many things.” When talking about her brother, Christina talked with some enthusiasm and fondness. In a way, she sees her brother as her idol- but does not put him on a pedestal like how others would with their idols.

Christina Zorich is a very reserved person who enjoys school but does not let it consume her or let it lose sight of her goals. That is why Christina is student of the month.
