2 Games that have Aged Well

A lot of games haven't aged well with time and I plan on telling you about two different games that have aged well, these two games are Homeworld and Age of Empires 2: Age of Kings.

Homeworld is a RTS published in 1999 that featured a play style that really has the player utilizing the 3D playing field provided by the game, which made it very unique at the time since most games still used 2D environments. The game also was one of the only space, RTS, fleet control, combinations at the time and even today this combo is kind of rare. The thing that sets this game apart is the fact that you can collect resources in a 3D space so your gatherers might get attacked. So be careful if you do play.

Another game that has aged well is definitely Age of Empires 2 which is a resource gatherer and base builder which allows you to advance from the Stone Age to the Imperial Age with research and fighting other nations for control and victory over the map. There are a few ways to win, such as Monument Victory which involves you building and defending a building from other players for a set amount of time. Skirmishes are a fun way to play the game with multiplayer options. One feature also includes a map editor that you can play after building and change maps made by the developer.

The Homeworld Remastered Collection costs $34.99 on steam and Age of Empires II HD costs $19.99 on steam for each of the base games. I would call this worth it for the time you will spend playing these.
